How is Painting Like Golf?

I didn't play a lot of golf growing up, but my dad did, and he consistently had 1 piece of advice for me.

Let the club do the work.

Well, artists, I would say the same.

Let the paintbrush do the work.

The most wonderful effects in art happen by accident - when you simply allow the brush and paint freedom to leave their own marks on the page.

To try and control every brush stroke is not nearly as interesting as allowing some room for the media to move and mix freely.

Let the paint do the work.

Let the brush do the work.
