The Navy is about to equip some of their ships with lasers, which will be used to destroy drones, missiles and small craft.

Each laser blast would cost about the same as a gallon of diesel fuel, instead of the many thousands of dollars to fire a missile.

How is Painting Like Golf?

I didn't play a lot of golf growing up, but my dad did, and he consistently had 1 piece of advice for me.

Let the club do the work.

Well, artists, I would say the same.

Let the paintbrush do the work.

The most wonderful effects in art happen by accident - when you simply allow the brush and paint freedom to leave their own marks on the page.

To try and control every brush stroke is not nearly as interesting as allowing some room for the media to move and mix freely.

I came across an interesting article by Amy Berger, where she rants about another commonly believed food myth, that weight control is all about the number of calories you eat.
