I just finished up another piece. This one is an 8" x 8" painting I call, "Cardinal in Winter."

Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm finally getting into "The Last of Us."

I work at a desk all day, so I have the opportunity to listen to a lot of music during the day. Here is some of the good stuff I've been checking out lately.

The Distillers - Love is Paranoid

Energetic, straight forward punk. I could listen to this track 100 times in a row.

Leftfield - Original

Electronic music from 1995. It doesn't sound dated to me. I just like this song.

David Bowie - Love is Lost

This is one of Bowie's newer tunes - from 2013. A chill song with a great organ sound, sung in the way only Bowie could.

The Kills - Siberian Nights

This is from The Kills newest album, Ash & Ice, which I definitely recommend. Love the bass - love the drums. This song is spare, with a great groove.

Stranger Things - Netflix

I'm 4 episodes into Stranger Things on Netflix and I'm digging it.

Well, I'm digging it, but I have to watch it with a finger on fast forward, because Winona Ryder is a little too good at acting half-crazy (which doesn't sound like a compliment, but it is). I can't watch when she's flipping out.

I also have a pet peeve, which is characters who are absurdly cryptic. If you've seen the show, you probably know who I'm referencing.

But the music is great, the characters are interesting and I'm sucked in. I need to know what happens!
